CORONAVIRUS UPDATE FROM SAN DIEGO TOURISM AUTHORITY
We created a landing page on Sandiego.org for visitors and partners with questions related to the virus impacts.We have paused all paid marketing programs in China and will continue to monitor the situation with our industry partners to determine plans for marketing efforts going forward.We are working with our Chinese media and agency partners to continue organic social media activity while changing the messaging to be more inspirational and removed calls of action to book travel. We have also used social media in China to express sympathy and concern for those affected by coronavirus.
The San Diego Tourism Authority is working with Visit California, San Diego County and other regional and national agencies to prioritize the health and safety of both locals and visitors. Based on the current global travel environment, the SDTA is taking the following steps:
