Mayor Todd Gloria offered opening greetings, stating that “Trustees Connected really represents the need to consider the Park as a whole,” and while each individual organization is remarkable, “collectively, you are unstoppable.”

Mayor Gloria introduced Council President Pro Tem and District 3 representative Stephen Whitburn, who stressed the importance of the Park working together with the City: “Your success is our success.”
